Wrapped In Wild

My love of fashion began many years ago when I branched out as a Photographer and freelance Model at the age of 19. I would collect pieces of alternative clothing to add to my ever growing wardrobe, saving for the perfect photo shoot. This has been an artistic outlet for me for over 15 years. During these years, I often would fantasize about selling gothic clothing brands, or creating my own, though I did not have any sewing experience. The years went on and my style changed and evolved, cycling through my closet and always finding new designers to purchase from. Being one who feels close to Nature and wanting to respect myself and the Earth, I slowly replaced many house hold and personal care products with ones that had organic ingredients, along with organic foods and clean, alive water. In this current world, we are constantly bombarded with environmental toxins and I strive to do my best to keep my body and home as clean and chemical free as possible. But one thing was missing. My wardrobe! The clothes I adored were made of unhealthy materials, such as polyester and likely sprayed with who knows what. I could no longer trust the items I was putting on my skin. I began to look for organic slow fashion designers that offered healthier alternatives, along with beautiful creations. Falling in love with these brands, I wished I could create my own - though still without sewing experience and a young daughter that takes up a lot of my time. This is when I reached out to my friends and asked if anyone wanted to partner up to create an organic & sustainable slow fashion clothing line. A new friend of mine, Jessica, reached out and said "You know I'm in!" Jessica had altered a few of my clothing pieces over the past year for me and is a stitch witch herself. Jessica told me how she loves creating pieces, but didn't have the expertise, or desire to do all the marketing to get a clothing brand going. This, however, was what I am good at! So we paired up to begin a new venture - Wrapped In Wild

December 2022 Jessica and I met up to chat about our visions and what we wanted out of this new project. At first we decided to give enough time for designing and launch in Summer 2023, but we quickly pushed that to Spring 2023 and are set to launch March 20 on the Spring Equinox, which happens to land on a New Moon! The Winter was a great time to hunker down and start brainstorming what we would come up with for our first Spring line, Jessica giving many hours to finding and making patterns, sourcing fabrics, experimenting with dye jobs and sewing together our first garments. All while I got busy designing our website, photographing items and promoting our line to locals and folks around the World. And here we are, approaching our launch date and nearly ready for our first release! We have some items available as ready to sell, but all our creations are available on a made to order basis with custom sizing and colours and a choice of fabrics.

I am very grateful and excited to team up with Jessica and go on this new journey together. Bringing beautiful clothing to those who are looking to upgrade their wardrobes to match their healthy lifestyles. March 20 at 12:12 pm EDT our web shop portal will open to the public! And a special gift for the first 10 full outfit purchases: Join Jessica & Lor for afternoon tea and a group photo shoot in your new garments at The Enchanted Forest in Wallaceburg the last weekend of April!
